Tonight, the wounds of RoA Pt 1 were reopened, salt poured in, and then rebandaged in sandpaper. HOWEVER, players found some shining moments this arc and we found time to discuss those as well. The feesha was obviously the big topic, and the perspectives battled on whether the ship was a f2p savior, or a colossal waste of time. Scopely's consideration for players during international crisis was applauded loudly, and week 3 modifications to events were praised. So, was this arc quite AS BAD as we originally may have thought? Tonight we stepped outside of the studio and broadcast live from the highway as DJz hosted Talking In Carz with DJz. Topics included a review and recap of some of the items that were introduced this month, a lighter than typical event calendar (which was praised by some players) and Gregor stops by for a completely unfettered, unbiased opinion on his first appearance on the show this entire arc. Week 3 started out not bad. Changes to Latinum Rush were problematic in some areas, but we expected them to be a little rough starting out with the balance of the Feesha's mining speeds. The fact that there's a staple event with some tinkering and modernization is good. We also saw modifications to the Ferengi Recruiting event, and a surprise SMS and SLB with some pretty incredible rewards! We saw the return of one of our favorite Ultra Recruit packs from Duality, and IF you're a spender, the return of a couple of very valuable cash packs. But..... Is it enough to save this arc? BubbaJo and DJz face off over latinum changes, feesha viability, mining in general, and event mechanics in this MUST listen to show! Fillin Friday launched an Armada Damage SLB, and on the surface, it doesn't look bad. Damage for armadas dictates uncommon usage, but days 2 and 3 of this SLB run along side the Quark Strength event for Rares and Epics. Scoring has synergy and I won't complain about that. But, there are still obvious problems, and they AREN'T from the completion ability of this event, but rather, the logistics. Dumping the entire galaxy into Romulan space, the scoring for Ops 20-22, and the decision to use Klingon Conquest out of context for how it was written all contribute to even MORE community frustrations tonight. But, never fear, math always holds true, and thanks to NCC and StewieDoo, we now have MORE data on how your trait xp gives you returns. How much do you get out of what you spend? Hey commanders! Tonight was our first night back in a week and boy was there a lot to discuss. We began with a quick peek a the feesha changes, how they happened and why they may provide a bit of hope for an otherwise lackluster start to an arc. Then, DJz goes on the defense about why scrapping multiple d'vors BEFORE t9 COULD be wise. But does it apply to everyone? Events are under the microscope next, and this is just...... well, you'll hear it. However, there is one bright spot to the month and that is in the Dabo bundles. And yes, these are comparatively pretty decent compared to non even store months of the past (november MAYBE being an outlier, challenge ripper on that one lol) and our projections to your loot count as well as the rss that you can get from para bellum/jelly brawl. Tonight DJz and Bubba found themselves yet again at odds over Duality Part 4. While much of the community agreed on the event store, and loot paid, events seemed somewhat controversial, from Ba'el's Meta, to the number of Armada Events. And DJ yet again found himself on the opposite side of the what seemed to be the majority opinion. However, Bubba Jo comes to the rescue, proving once again, that this show can be a platform FOR ALL, to feel heard, represented, and advocated for, no matter what side of an issue you are on.
